The guide
I live here. That is the whole pitch.
I am Leticia Morais Saraiva, a licensed guide based between Florence and Prato. I did not come to Tuscany for a season — I built a life here, and the difference shows up in the small things: which door is worth knocking on, which café the guards go to on their break, which fresco everyone walks past.
I do not run a bus. I do not hand out headsets. I take small groups through the city and the region on foot, and I tell them what actually happened here — the politics, the money, the grudges, the genius. Florence is more interesting than the postcard, and it takes someone who lives here to prove it.

Send a note with your dates, how many of you there are, and what you are curious about. No form letters back — I read every one.

I propose something
Within a day you get a real answer: what I would do with your time, why, how long it takes, and what it costs. If I am the wrong guide for it, I will say so.
III
We walk
You get a meeting point, a phone number, and a morning you will still be talking about later. Payment is settled before we start.

Practicalities
Questions worth asking
How large are the groups?
Eight people at most, and usually fewer. The food tour caps at six. If you would rather it be only your party, book a private day.
What languages do you guide in?
English, Italian and Spanish. Tell me which you prefer when you write and the whole tour runs in that language.
Are museum and gallery tickets included?
No. Prices cover guiding only. Where a tour includes a paid site I will tell you the exact cost in advance and, if you like, walk you through booking the timed entry yourself — it is cheaper that way.
What if it rains?
Florence is a good city in the rain and I plan around it. If the weather is genuinely impossible we move the date at no cost.
Can you handle limited mobility, or small children?
Yes, in both cases — but tell me in advance so I can choose the route rather than improvise it. Cobblestones are unforgiving and I would rather plan around them.
How do I pay, and what is the cancellation policy?
Payment is settled before the tour by card or bank transfer. Cancel more than 48 hours ahead for a full refund; inside 48 hours we will find another date.
